Galvanized Steel Coils are carbon steel sheets coated with a layer of zinc through a hot-dipping process to provide superior corrosion resistance. Manufactured by Wuxi Sylaith Special Steel Co., Ltd , these coils combine the strength of cold-rolled steel with the durability of zinc protection, making them a preferred choice for a wide range of industrial and construction applications.
Our Prime Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coils are produced from a cold-rolled steel base and coated with a uniform zinc layer (Z61-Z80). The material undergoes strict quality control to ensure consistent mechanical properties, surface finish, and coating adhesion.
Why Choose SLAST Galvanized Steel Coils?
Superior Corrosion Resistance: Zinc coating protects against rust and extends product lifespan.
Excellent Formability: Cold-rolled base allows for easy bending, punching, and cutting.
Consistent Quality: Possessing MCT certification and meeting standards such as ASTM, EN, and JIS.
Versatile Applications: Suitable for roofing, pipe making, containers, and general fabrication.
Flexible Options: Regular spangle finish, mid-hard hardness, and customizable packaging.
The versatility of SLAST Galvanized Steel Coils makes them suitable for numerous industries:
Pipe Making: Ideal base material for manufacturing welded pipes and tubes.
Roofing & Construction: Perfect for corrugated roofing sheets, wall panels, and building cladding.
Container Manufacturing: Used for shipping containers, storage tanks, and industrial containers.
General Fabrication: Suitable for making fences, small tools, machine parts, and household appliances.
Cutting Sheets: Can be slit and cut into sheets for various industrial applications.
Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Coil is produced through a precise metallurgical process:
Base Material Preparation: High-quality cold-rolled steel coils (thickness 0.12-0.20mm) are used as the substrate.
Surface Cleaning: The steel strip is degreased, pickled, and fluxed to remove impurities and prepare the surface for coating.
Hot Dip Coating: The cleaned strip passes through a bath of molten zinc at approximately 450°C-460°C. A metallurgical bond forms between the zinc and steel, creating a corrosion-resistant layer.
Cooling & Finishing: After coating, the strip is cooled, leveled, and undergoes skin pass rolling to improve surface finish and flatness.
Inspection & Coiling: The finished product is inspected for coating weight (Z61-Z80), surface quality, and mechanical properties before being recoiled for shipment.
This process ensures excellent zinc adhesion, uniform coating thickness, and long-lasting corrosion protection.
A: DX51D is a European standard (EN 10346) grade for hot-dip galvanized steel, designed for general forming and bending applications. SGCC is the Japanese standard (JIS G3302) equivalent, while Q235 is a Chinese carbon steel grade. All are suitable for similar applications, but chemical composition and mechanical properties may vary slightly. We can supply equivalents based on your required standard (ASTM, JIS, EN).
A: "Z" stands for Zinc, and the number indicates the coating weight in grams per square meter (total both sides). Z61-Z80 means the coil has a zinc coating of 61-80 g/m². Higher coating weights (up to Z275) offer better corrosion resistance. We can customize based on your project requirements.
A: Yes, samples are provided and available upon request. We welcome trial orders to test our quality before committing to larger volumes.
A: Non-oiled surface means the coil is shipped without an anti-rust oil coating. This is suitable for applications requiring immediate painting or processing. Oiled surface has a thin protective oil layer to prevent white rust during storage and transport. We offer both options based on your needs.
A: Skin pass (or temper rolling) is a light cold rolling step performed after galvanizing. It slightly reduces thickness, improves surface finish, eliminates yield point elongation (preventing Lüders lines during forming), and ensures better flatness. All JUYE coils undergo skin pass for superior quality.
A: We accept T/T (30% deposit + 70% balance before shipment) . Other terms can be negotiated for long-term partnerships.
A: Standard delivery time is 7-15 days after order confirmation, depending on quantity and customization requirements.
A: Yes. The hot-dipped galvanized coating (Z61-Z80) provides excellent corrosion protection, making it ideal for outdoor applications like roofing, fences, and construction. For harsh environments, higher coating weights are recommended.
A: Yes, we offer customized width, length, and coil weight based on your requirements. Please contact our sales team with your specifications.
